Chris Crawford was born and raised in rural New York. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1986, and continues to be active in the reserves. He began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a corrections officer and has advanced to his present position as a detective in Palm Beach County. His personal experience with his late son Spencer, prompted he and his wife, Ellen to create the Spencer Crawford Children's Foundation. Christopher knows first hand how physically and emotionally draining it can be to deal with a terminally ill child, and now offers to listen and share in similar experiences with family members in these situations.
